At Boliden Mineral AB, we are committed to becoming the most sustainable and respected metal supplier in the world. As an Exploration Geologist, you will play a key role in supporting mine geology at the active Aitik mine, advancing the Nautanen project, and exploring for additional discoveries.

The team of geologists, geophysicists, and exploration technicians work together to plan, initiate, and execute exploration activities. You will collaborate with various departments to ensure the success of exploration programs. The job involves:

  • Collaborating within a team of geoscientists to execute exploration programs safely and efficiently.
  • Compiling and interpreting geological data to support target generation.
  • Logging diamond drill core and assisting the management of drill programs.
  • Maintaining exploration licenses and completing reporting as required.
  • FOLLOWING QAQC routines and SOP's for exploration activities.

To succeed in this role, you should have a geoscience degree with postgraduate qualification preferred, 2+ years of experience in the exploration / mining industry, knowledge in the use of GIS and/or geological modelling software is an asset, previous experience logging core and assisting diamond drill programs, proficiency in written and spoken English, and fluency in Swedish or a willingness to learn is desired.
