Ground Deformation Analyst

LKAB is a leading mining company that aims to reshape the world through sustainable practices. We are looking for a Ground Deformation Analyst to join our team in Malmberget Mine. This role involves forecasting and monitoring ground deformations above ground using various methods.

This job description outlines the responsibilities and requirements for the position. You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to analyze data and provide expert advisory reports.

• Monitor ground deformations and analyze data to provide expert advisory reports
• Offer expert advice on ground deformation issues and support operational planning
• Contribute to the improvement of work methods for enhanced efficiency in the Malmberget operations

To excel in this role, you should possess:

• A relevant university degree in rock engineering, civil engineering, geology, or similar
• Hands-on working experience in rock mechanics, with a focus on deformation and subsidence control
• Strong analytical skills and experience in monitoring methods and software
• The ability to report and present findings clearly to a range of audiences
• Fluency in English is required, and proficiency in Swedish is desirable but not mandatory
