Postdoctoral Research Position in Structural Biology

Karolinska Institutet is one of the world's leading medical universities, conducting successful medical research and offering a wide range of medical education. We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Researcher to join our research group, working on the recognition and fusion of the female and male gametes.

The project involves combining molecular and cell biology, biochemistry, and structural biology to understand the molecular mechanism of egg-sperm interaction at fertilization. This requires significant hands-on experience in mammalian and/or insect cell expression, purification, and biochemical characterization of proteins.

As a Postdoc, you will have the chance to work in a creative and inspiring environment, collaborating with researchers from various scientific fields within medicine and health. You will also have access to state-of-the-art facilities and equipment, enabling you to explore new approaches and techniques in structural biology.

To be eligible for this position, you should have a doctoral degree or a foreign degree deemed equivalent. Previous experience in analyzing protein-protein interactions using different techniques and approaches is highly desirable. At least one first-author paper in a high-quality international peer-reviewed journal is required.
