We are seeking an experienced Senior Cathode Manufacturing Engineer to join our team at Northvolt. As a key player in our cathode active material department, you will contribute to building one of the first large-scale European battery factories.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in design reviews to enhance cathode manufacturing process.
  • Collaborate with project managers to ensure alignment with project goals.
  • Understand cathode manufacturing trends and translate them into technical development for process design improvements.
  • Evaluate and benchmark cathode manufacturing equipment.
  • Provide solutions, support, and training to operations staff to ensure quality output.
  • Transfer cathode process equipment troubleshooting skills and support to solve chronic failures.
  • Continuously improve state-of-the-art cathode processes to optimize product quality and process reliability.
  • Develop manufacturing standards, tools, processes, and guidelines.
  • Support commissioning processes from a technical expertise perspective.
  • Develop and transfer technical maintenance and overhaul skills for production equipment and connected support systems.
Requirements
  • Bachelor or Master of Science in chemical, mechanical, or industrial engineering.
  • Proven portfolio of completed projects.
  • 10+ years' experience in cathode manufacturing industry.
Desirable Skills
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience and knowledge of engineering or maintenance for cathode manufacturing processes.
  • Dust and contamination reduction skills and knowledge.
