We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Postdoctoral Researcher to join our research group at the Department of Medical Biochemistry and Biophysics, Karolinska Institutet, Stockholm. Our research focuses on the molecular mechanisms defining the transcriptomic and epigenomic states of oligodendrocyte lineage cells, with the aim to design epigenetic based-therapies to prevent and treat neuroinflammation in demyelinating diseases.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct single-cell/spatial omics studies to identify cell states within the oligodendrocyte lineage in development and disease
- Develop and implement molecular biology techniques to study the functional role of single nucleotide polymorphisms in oligodendroglia lineage cells
- Collaborate with the research group to design and execute experiments, and analyze data
- Contribute to the development of new research projects and ideas
- PhD in medical sciences, immunology, or neurosciences, or equivalent
- Experience in neuroimmunology and/or immune diseases, particularly animal models of multiple sclerosis
- Experience in multiparametric flow cytometry/cell sorting, culturing human pluripotent stem cell lines, and molecular biology techniques
- Strong collaborative approach to research, with excellent communication and teamwork skills
