Our Data Centre Engineering Operations Team is responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and efficiency of electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment within our data centres. As a Chief Engineer, you will play a crucial role in leading our team and overseeing the operation and management of routine and emergency services on various critical systems.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical or mechanical engineering, with experience in managing critical facility operations and maintenance. They will be responsible for managing shift technicians, senior shift technicians, subcontractors, and vendors, and overseeing the operation and management of routine and emergency services on various critical systems.
We are looking for a detail-oriented individual who can establish performance benchmarks, conduct analyses, and prepare reports on all aspects of critical facility operations and maintenance. The successful candidate will also be responsible for asset and inventory management, responding to out-of-hours emergency calls, and serving as a second-level escalation point for data centre facilities-related issues or failures.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS- High/Low Voltage Authorised Person (AP) experience
- Fundamental knowledge of network design and layout as well as low voltage (copper/fibre) cabling
