PhD Position in Advanced Materials Characterization

Stockholm, Stockholm, Sweden KTH Royal Institute of Technology Full time
About the Project

The project aims to establish high-throughput material characterization protocols at large-scale synchrotron and neutron facilities, such as PETRA III in Hamburg and ILL in Grenoble. The researcher will develop new methods and test environments for simulating industrial manufacturing processes, enabling the study of materials' microstructure development effectively.

The developed methodology should be material agnostic, but we will apply it to advanced steels, nickel superalloys, and cemented carbide for proof-of-concept and to generate important information for sustainable transformations in these material areas.
