Data Center Manager, Data Center Operations

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Center Operations Manager to join our team at Amazon Web Services (AWS). As a key member of our growing Infrastructure Operations team, you will be responsible for leading a team of Data Center Technicians in installing, maintaining, and decommissioning network and server hardware.

  • Main responsibility: Safety, Security, Availability, Quality, and Performance of the team.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop plans and forecasts, manage team and individual performance, and deliver performance reviews.

The ideal candidate should have a background in people management, with a proven track record of leading technical teams. Additionally, they should possess strong organizational and planning skills, as well as excellent time management abilities to balance workloads in a dynamic environment.

AWS Infrastructure Services is responsible for designing, planning, delivering, and operating all AWS global infrastructure. Our team supports all AWS data centers, servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure customers have continuous access to innovation.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

· 2+ years of Data Center Operations experience or similar Operations roles

· 2+ years of direct people management experience including performance management such as End of Year Reviews

· Strong team, organizational, and planning skills, as well as excellent time management abilities

· Valid driver's license in the EU

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS

· 3+ years of cumulative experience with information technology infrastructure domains

· Understanding of critical Electrical, HVAC, and control systems

· Appropriate Security and Safety awareness
