We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Plants Lead Engineer to join our team at Hitachi Energy. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for leading the design and development of HVDC land stations and offshore platforms, ensuring that our technical deliverables meet the highest standards of quality and excellence.

Your Responsibilities

  • Lead the technical coordination with our Plants own departments, including Electromechanical design, Station auxiliary power, Civil design and auxiliary systems.
  • Drive the overall technical understanding and take responsibility for the overall design of HVDC land stations and offshore platforms and their interfaces.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to drive our base design, read and understand the customer's specifications, and act strategically for the best overall HVDC technical solution.
  • Manage technical risks, fulfill quality standards, and represent Plants in internal and external customer meetings.

Your Background

  • Bachelor or Master of Science in Engineering.
  • Several years of experience in the energy field, electrical power, electromechanical design, auxiliary power design, or civil design for large projects, with experience in HVDC technology or similar fields such as substations, high voltage products, or offshore wind connections.
  • Practical experience from site work, installation, and/or commissioning is an advantage.
  • You are an engaged, ambitious, and driven person who thrives in a constantly changing environment and enjoys collaboration with employees, peers, and beyond.
  • You understand technical topics and can easily grasp HVDC concepts, possess a strong sense of responsibility, and are comfortable making decisions for your team when needed.
  • Fluency in English, both spoken and written, is required as you will be part of a global team communicating with colleagues worldwide.
