Job Description

As the Global Laboratory Health & Safety Manager at Hitachi Energy's High Voltage Business Unit, your primary responsibility will be overseeing IEC 17025 accredited laboratories in multiple locations. This role involves spearheading health, safety, and environmental initiatives while representing the Global Laboratory organization in interactions with BU functions. You will establish a forum for exchanging experiences, expertise, and best practices among laboratories and global Technology Centers.

Key Accountabilities
  1. Develop and implement a unified global approach to health, safety, and environmental practices across all laboratory locations.
  2. Maintain consistent application and alignment of HSE practices across all locations.
  3. Manage local Swiss HSE operations, adhering to local regulations as outlined in the job description.

Your Profile

To succeed in this role, you should have strong leadership skills, operational experience, and a proven track record of process development and continuous improvement. Additionally, knowledge of IEC 17025 standards is beneficial, and you should be willing to travel globally on a limited basis. Your technical expertise in testing high voltage products will be essential, and a Master's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Economics is required. Fluency in German and English is also necessary.

Work Environment

This full-time position requires an experienced individual who can work effectively in a global environment. The ideal candidate will be based in Baden, Switzerland, or Ludvika, Sweden.
