EHS Specialist III

We are seeking an experienced EHS Specialist III to join our team at Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. in Uppsala, Sweden.

• Collaborate with employees and functional managers to resolve Work Environment, Health and Safety concerns.
• Analyze and communicate EHS performance against expectations, provide feedback, and implement actions to improve performance.
• Participate in EHS rounds, identify opportunities for improvement, and remediate safety concerns.
• Foster a culture where employees take ownership of EHS.
• Deliver EHS training as required.
• Lead and participate in ergonomics analysis, provide recommendations, and work with departments to implement changes.
• Ensure established EHS standards are met during new project implementations.

• Relevant academic background in Work Environment, Occupational Health, Chemical, Toxicology, Environmental engineering, or similar.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant EHS/Sustainability experience.
• Experience with EHS management systems, including ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
• Good knowledge of safety principles, such as Lock Out /Tag Out, Work Permit, ATEX, CE marking, Chemical safety.
• Motivated and willing to work cross-functionally with internal and external collaborators.
• Proficient in English and Swedish.

• Good technical and analytical skills with the ability to lead multiple tasks and daily responsibilities.
• Good presentation and communication skills.
• Ability to work optimally with others.
