Job Description:

Minnovation International AB is a pioneering research center focused on advanced technology innovation, driving the future of energy solutions. Our Stockholm office serves as a hub for New Energy Research, Architecture Evolution Design, and Strategic Technology Planning.

We are seeking an expert in power electronics with strong knowledge in simulation, design, and digital control. As a High-Power Converter Architect, you will lead the development of next-generation Solar PV architecture and converter structures, including optimizers, single-phase three-phase inverters, and energy storage systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to define system requirements and establish key technical competencies for future products and solutions.
  • Support the development of technology roadmaps for next-generation Solar PV architecture and converter structures.
  • Lead the research and development of novel Solar PV architectures and converter topologies focusing on Medium and Small Power PV Systems.
  • Partner with external research institutes and universities on collaborative projects to develop high-power converters and associated control algorithms for relevant applications.
  • Design, verify, and validate converter concepts in our R&D laboratories.
  • Generate innovative ideas and protect them through intellectual property filings.
  • Promote our Digital Power Product Line at international conferences and exhibitions.
  • Occasionally travel to our China Head Office for internal communications and cooperation.
  • Mentor and coach less experienced team members.

Requirements:

  • A PhD in Power Electronics or Electrical and Electronic Engineering (or equivalent) with over 8 years of R&D experience in the industry.
  • Deep understanding of technology trends and the ability to contribute competitive ideas for top technical performance.
  • Expertise in inverter topologies, modulation and control algorithms, and magnetic simulation tools.
  • Strong theoretical foundation in basic power electronic converter principles, multi-level converters, magnetic component designs, power semiconductor devices, and power converter control.
  • High motivation for innovative solutions and technologies, along with leadership skills for technical R&D activities.
  • Autonomous work style with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Professional-level English proficiency and prior international/multicultural work experience is highly preferred.

Compensation:

The estimated salary for this position is approximately €120,000-€150,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
