Job Title: PV Inverter Power Conversion Expert

We are seeking a highly skilled PV Inverter Power Conversion Expert to join our team at Minnovation International AB. As a key member of our research and development team, you will be responsible for leading and executing the technology roadmap development for next generation Solar PV architecture and converter structures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with internal customers to identify and define system requirements and needs to establish key technical competencies for the future products and solutions
  • Support in technology roadmap development for next generation Solar PV architecture and converter structures including different product forms, such as optimizer, single-phase three-phase inverter, energy storage system
  • Lead and execute the research and development of novel Solar PV architecture and converter topologies which focus on Medium and Small Power PV System
  • Work with external RD institutes and Universities on collaboration projects for developing novel high-power converter and associated control algorithms for relevant applications of Digital Power Product Line
  • Lead the design and subsequent verification and validation of converter concepts in the RD laboratories
  • Generate novel ideas and protect them with IPR fillings
  • Participate international conferences/exhibitions of power electronics community representing for external communications
  • Mentor and coach less experienced staff members

Requirements:

  • PhD in Power Electronics/Electrical and Electronic Engineering (or similar) field, more than 8 years' RD experience in the industry
  • Deep insights into technology trends and can contribute competitive ideas to achieve a top technical performance
  • Deep knowledge of inverter topologies, modulation and control algorithm, and magnetic simulation tools
  • Good theoretical understanding of basic power electronic converter principles and multi-level converters, magnetic component designs, power semiconductor devices such as wide band gap devices, and power converter control
  • Highly motivated and interested in innovative solutions and technologies along with willingness to lead technical RD activities
  • High-level self-reliance, autonomous and target-oriented work style with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Professional level working proficiency of English, and prior international and multicultural work experience is highly preferred
