Role Overview

As a member of the Robotics team in Västerås, Sweden, you will contribute to ABB's technology competitiveness.

The Robotics team focuses on mechatronics concepts, design, and machine intelligence in industrial and service robot segments.

We work closely with ABB's robotics business to ensure our research brings unique value.

In this position, you will play a key role in the WARA Robotics project, supporting researchers and engaging in various robotics research topics and projects.

Your responsibilities include maintaining and further developing research infrastructures, actively seeking collaborations with academic and industrial research partners.

Additionally, you will work with ABB robots and mechatronic devices.

Qualifications for the Role
  • A Master's or PhD degree in robotics, software engineering, or a related field.
  • Solid theoretical knowledge and practical experience in robotics fields.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as C++ and Python, along with software engineering practices.
  • Familiarity with ABB RAPID and RobotStudio is advantageous.
  • Experience working with Linux, software version control systems, and ROS 2 is beneficial.
  • Fluency in English is required.
