Chalmers University invites applications for a PhD position in quantum levitation research. This exceptional opportunity enables you to push the boundaries of quantum mechanics, developing new methods to control levitated particles.

Key Project Elements

  • The project leverages magnetic levitation to create ultra-sensitive force sensors and facilitate quantum experiments.

Your Role and Responsibilities

  • Conduct high-impact research and pursue your doctoral degree,
  • Acquire advanced skills through extensive training to meet project requirements,
  • Support educational activities to a limited extent,
  • Collaborate within an inclusive research team.

Essential Requirements

  • A Master's degree in a relevant field, such as Physics or Engineering Physics,
  • Excellent written and spoken English skills.

We value applicants with experience in quantum optics, quantum technology, or superconducting device technology. Familiarity with microfabrication techniques is also beneficial.

  • This is a fixed-term appointment with a maximum duration of five years.
