Join our team at Chalmers University as a PhD researcher in quantum levitation. This exciting opportunity allows you to explore innovative ways to manipulate levitated particles, contributing to the advancement of quantum mechanics.

Project Focus

  • The project centers around magnetic levitation, enabling ultra-sensitive force sensors and quantum experiments with macroscopic objects.

Your Key Tasks

  • Conduct original research and pursue your doctoral degree,
  • Develop advanced expertise through comprehensive training to meet project objectives,
  • Support teaching and supervision activities,
  • Collaborate within a dynamic research team.

Eligibility Criteria

  • A Master's degree in Physics, Applied Physics, Engineering Physics, Microtechnology, Nanotechnology, or a related field,
  • Strong English language skills.

We welcome applicants with a strong background in quantum optics, quantum technology, or superconducting device technology. Familiarity with microfabrication techniques is also advantageous.

Contract Terms

  • This is a full-time temporary employment opportunity with a maximum duration of five years.
