Key Responsibilities

As an Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) Engineer at Alstom, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring the electromagnetic compatibility of railway products designed and manufactured by Alstom.
  • Verifying the design of products and subsystems/system architecture to ensure EMC compatibility.
  • Preparing and reviewing customer specifications and associated cost estimates during tenders.
  • Interpreting customer requirements and verifying EMC test specifications and reports from suppliers.
  • Performing EMC tests on test benches, in laboratories, and/or on-site and reporting results.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and implement EMC design and manufacturing rules.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Senior experience in the EMC domain, preferably within the Railways industry.
  • Experience with MATLAB scripting and other relevant computer programming skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work autonomously and proactively.
