About This Job:

We are seeking an experienced Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) specialist to join our team in Västerås, Sweden. As an EMC engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the electromagnetic compatibility of our railway products.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop customer specifications and cost estimates during tenders.
  • Analyze and interpret customer requirements.
  • Verify product and subsystem/system architecture designs.
  • Perform simulation using MATLAB tools to verify designs.
  • Create EMC test specifications (lab and/or field test plans).
  • Review EMC test specifications and reports from suppliers.
  • Conduct EMC tests on test benches, labs, and/or on-site, and report results.
  • Analyze test data using MATLAB tools.
  • Maintain EMC Compliance Files at the end of projects.
  • Solve EMC problems encountered in projects.
  • Participate in defining/developing/improving guidelines, processes, design rules, reference solutions, and return experiences.
  • Design review checklists, templates of project documents, test specifications, simulation tools, and test instrumentation.
  • Develop measurements and analysis methods and tools for an EMC compliant propulsion and auxiliary system.
  • Propose and carry out EMC R&D actions.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Senior experience in the EMC domain, preferably within Railways.
  • Experience with MATLAB scripting or other relevant computer programming.
  • Senior experience in Power electronics/Electrotechnics, preferably for Railways.
  • Fluent English (mandatory), Swedish desirable.
  • Personal abilities to work autonomously, proactively, and communicate effectively within the EMC Network.
