We are seeking a skilled Software Engineer to join our team at IKEA. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering high-quality software solutions to support our consumers across Ingka and Inter-IKEA Systems.
Key Responsibilities- Develop, run, monitor, and support software for assigned products or services, ensuring compliance with Ingka Software Security Directives.
- Synchronize software design and architecture with stakeholders to ensure expected outcomes.
- Oversee product or service development, including code reviews to ensure technical feasibility and optimized solutions for speed, scalability, and reusability.
- Proactively manage organizational processes to drive intended outcomes.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A formal qualification in computer science or an equivalent engineering field.
- Minimum 7 years of experience as a software engineer with a similar level of experience in the assigned tech stack.
- Minimum 5 years of experience working in agile/iterative software development teams with a DevOps setup and emphasis on self-organization and delivery to agreed commitments.
- Demonstrable experience with cloud computing environments.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
- A strong interest in learning about the IKEA brand, culture, values, and way of working.
Our tech stack includes:
- ETL, API-first mindset, REST API design, and event-based architecture.
- Building, deploying cloud-based serverless applications and services using TypeScript.
- Strong understanding of SOLID principles, coding standards, and design patterns.
- Infrastructure as code tools, particularly Terraform, for provisioning and managing GCP resources.
- SQL/NoSQL storage for creating data hubs promoting data democratization across Ingka, including BigQuery.
