The Naturhistoriska Riksmuseet is a leading research institution with a long history of advancing our understanding of the natural world. We are now seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher to join our team and contribute to our ongoing research program on adaptive radiation.
">About the Position:

- We are looking for an exceptional candidate who has completed a PhD or acquired equivalent qualifications in Sweden or abroad.">
- The successful applicant will have documented knowledge in a relevant research field, including interacting ecological, evolutionary, and biogeographical processes.">
- Excellent written and spoken English is a must.">
- The position involves building spatially explicit and trait-based models of interacting ecological and evolutionary processes.">
- You will conceptualize and model the complexity in which ecological divergence and speciation drive an adaptive radiation.">
- This combined theoretical and data-driven approach includes model design and analysis as well as statistical model parametrization and validation techniques.">
- You will work closely with José Cerca and Mikael Pontarp and have the possibility to collaborate with other members of the Swedish Museum of Natural History.">
Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement mathematical models of interacting ecological and evolutionary processes.">
- Analyze and interpret results from simulations and empirical data.">
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and refine research questions and hypotheses.">
- Publish research findings in peer-reviewed journals.">
Requirements:

- PhD in ecology, evolution, or a related field.">
- Documented knowledge in a relevant research field.">
- Excellent written and spoken English.">
- Programming skills in languages such as Matlab, Python, C++, or R.">
- A strong interest in and experience working with biodiversity.">
