About the Team and the Organization

Our Network & Security Platform team comprises dedicated professionals who design, implement, and manage all core network services and Network Architecture & Design globally. Our key focus areas include Data Center Network, Campus Network, Network Security, Network Interconnectivity, and cross-platform automation and development.

We prioritize innovation and forward-thinking, incorporating the latest technologies to enhance network stability and standardization.

About the Role

In this challenging and rewarding role, you will participate in strategic evaluations, decisions, and designs impacting all campus-related matters. Additionally, your expertise will be instrumental in ensuring network security and compliance with industry standards.

To succeed, you will require a strong foundation in designing, implementing, and managing large-scale campus networks and wireless infrastructures. Collaborative teamwork with external stakeholders and internal IT Infrastructure teams is paramount in this position.

This role offers a unique blend of remote and in-office work, with the preference being based at our Mölndal, Sweden office, reporting directly to the IT Manager of the Network & Security Platform Team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement comprehensive campus network architectures, integrating both wired and wireless networks.
  • Contribute to strategic evaluations and decision-making processes for campus-related projects.
  • Evaluate and recommend solutions for enhancing network security and compliance with industry standards.
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams to ensure seamless integration and coordination.
  • Deliver high-quality network services by collaborating with IT teams.
  • Support and guide junior engineers in their professional development.
  • Stay current with emerging networking technologies and trends.
  • Communicate complex network designs and plans to senior management.
  • Oversee the entire network implementation process, including budgeting and roadmapping.
  • Implement innovative network and security strategies aligned with industry best practices.
  • Develop and maintain performance benchmarks for networks.
  • Provide specialized support to operational teams in resolving complex network challenges.
  • Attend cross-functional meetings to gather insights on data, business, and user requirements.

Technical Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • No less than 15 years of experience in network engineering, focusing on campus networking and wireless technologies.
  • Desirable certifications: CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent Technical Skills.
  • Thorough knowledge of TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, VXLAN-EVPN, and Wi-Fi related radio technologies.
  • Proficiency in configuring and managing routers and switches from prominent vendors, including management umbrellas.
  • Deep understanding of firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and network access control.
  • Practical experience with wireless technologies and standards, including Wi-Fi 6 and WPA3.
  • Expertise in designing and implementing large-scale campus networks and wireless infrastructures.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Perl, or Bash for network automation.
  • Insight into software-defined networks (e.g., VMware NSX, Cisco ACI) and network virtualization technologies.
  • Proven experience in creating and executing redundant network solutions and disaster recovery plans.
  • Preferred experience with Wireless Technologies and Vendors:
  • Previous experience working with Cisco Classic, Juniper Mist, Aruba, and Meraki networks for wireless solutions.
  • Familiarity with Ruckus Wireless for high-density environments.
  • Understanding of Operational Technology (OT) environments and the Purdue model.
  • Knowledge of Ekahau or AirMagnet for wireless site surveys and planning.
  • Proficiency in using tools like NetSpot for wireless network analysis.
