Job Description

The Postdoctoral Fellow in Historical Demography will conduct independent research in the field of historical demography, contributing to the research environment at CEDAR. The successful candidate will participate in research seminars and activities, and have the opportunity to perform data analyses and write articles for publication in scientific journals.

Eligibility

To be eligible for this position, candidates must have completed a doctoral degree in history or a related field. Priority will be given to candidates who completed their doctoral degree within the past three years, although special circumstances may be considered.

Assessment Criteria

The assessment of candidates will focus on their scientific merits in historical demography, experience working with longitudinal register data, and the quality and feasibility of their research plan. Emphasis will be placed on how well the research plan aligns with the research environment at CEDAR and the extent to which the existing research expertise can support the proposed research.

Responsibilities

The Postdoctoral Fellow will be expected to conduct research, contribute to the research environment, and participate in research activities. They will also have the opportunity to perform data analyses and write articles for publication in scientific journals.
