About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Project Engineering Manager to coordinate all engineering activities in our assigned projects. The successful candidate will ensure that activities related to all engineering disciplines within the project are completed cost efficiently in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards, safety, and integrity requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Initiate, plan, manage, and control the engineering scope in one of our complex projects.
- Coordinate tasks, resources, stakeholders, and any other engineering elements of the project, and manage conflicts between different aspects, making trade-offs, and evaluating resources.
- Maintain a transparent picture status of your project, make decisions, and set priorities that lead to maximum progress.
- Anticipate, understand, and influence time, cost, and scope to drive a positive impact on the project's agreed deliveries.
- Be responsible for the engineering aspect of an EPC (Engineering Procurement Construction) project.
- Report to a PD (Project Director), while belonging to a department with Project Engineering Managers (PEM) and Project Interface Managers (PIM).
- Embody Hitachi Energy's core values of safety and integrity by taking responsibility for your own actions, caring for your colleagues, and the business.
Requirements
- Hold a university degree with prior working experience in people, project management, or a similar field.
- Have experience working on large complex projects, preferably civil engineering projects, and approach challenges with an innovative and problem-solving mindset.
- It is an advantage to have experience with HVDC or PMI/PMP certifications.
- Enjoy working in an organization that values transparency and freedom under responsibility, bringing positive energy, innovative thinking, and a genuine commitment.
- Be confident in your leadership role, inspiring and motivating your project team members.
- Be curious and interested in technology.
- Be fluent in English, and other languages spoken within the group are meritorious.
