Job Summary
We are seeking a seasoned Data Engineering Director to lead our Data Engineering team and drive strategic initiatives that impact our entire organization. As the Area Lead for Data Engineering within our Supply Chain & Enterprise division, you will have considerable influence across the entire organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and Mentor a Team of Engineering Managers: Provide strategic guidance, set performance goals, and foster a collaborative and innovative environment.
- Collaborate with Stakeholders: Define the strategic direction, aligning it with business goals and customer needs.
- Define High-Level KPIs and Targets: For the area, driving program enhancements and optimizing delivery outcomes.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree: In computer science, engineering, or a related field.
- At Least 8 Years of Experience: Within Data Engineering or similar areas.
- Proven Leadership Experience: In leading managers and driving technical excellence.
- Strong Proficiency: In SQL, Python, and big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).
- Familiarity with Cloud Services: (GCP, AWS, Azure) and data warehousing solutions.
- Excellent Problem-Solving and Project Management Skills.
