Construction Supervisor

Job Summary

Benbau Management GmbH is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Construction Supervisor to oversee and work alongside our team at the construction sites. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge and experience in concrete construction, including formwork, reinforcing, pouring, and finishing.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate the activities of the team to ensure efficient use of resources and high-quality work.
• Read and interpret blueprints and construction plans to determine project requirements and ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes.
• Direct the placement, consolidation, and finishing of concrete to meet specifications and standards.
• Supervise the assembly and removal of formwork to ensure timely completion of projects.
• Inspect the quality of work performed to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
• Train and mentor crew members in safe construction practices and the proper use of equipment to enhance their skills and knowledge.
• Coordinate with other trade supervisors to ensure seamless integration of resources and efficient project delivery.
• Provide hands-on assistance with concrete placement and finishing as needed to ensure high-quality results.
• Monitor and manage resources, including materials, tools, and equipment, to optimize project efficiency and minimize waste.
• Communicate effectively with project management to report on project status and any issues that arise, ensuring timely resolution and project completion.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; trade certification or associate degree in construction management is a plus.
• Good English language skills.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in concrete construction with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• In-depth knowledge of concrete construction techniques, tools, and equipment.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting construction drawings and plans.
• Familiarity with construction software and project management tools.
• Effective communication and problem-solving abilities.
