About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to join our Data Platform Team at RELEX Solutions. As a Senior Data Engineer, you will play a key role in designing and deploying data pipelines to support our business-critical systems, improving the scalability of our data pipelines and wider platform, and supporting and improving our existing data operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Deploy Data Pipelines: Develop and implement data pipelines to support our business-critical systems, ensuring data accuracy, reliability, and scalability.
  • Improve Scalability: Identify and implement improvements to our data pipelines and wider platform to support our growing customer base.
  • Support Data Operations: Collaborate with the team to support and improve our existing data operations, ensuring seamless data flow and minimal downtime.
  • Imagine and Implement New Features: Contribute to the design and implementation of new feature ideas, incorporating them into our data models and pipelines.
  • Monitor and Evaluate Performance: Develop and implement metrics to evaluate and monitor our data and system performance, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
Requirements
  • Advanced Degree: Hold an advanced degree in a quantitative field, such as computer science, statistics, physics, or engineering.
  • Software Engineering Experience: Possess solid experience in software engineering in a production environment, with a focus on designing and implementing applications and tooling for consolidating and processing large volumes of data.
  • Data Manipulation and Analysis: Have knowledge on how to manipulate data to perform analysis, including querying data, defining metrics, or transforming data to effectively evaluate a hypothesis.
  • Integration Experience: Experience building integrations serving data of large scales to downstream systems, ideally to customer-facing systems.
  • Programming Skills: Proficiency in Go and Python, with experience working with BigQuery and Dataflow.
  • Orchestration and Data Analysis: Familiarity with Cadence and Google Platform products for orchestration and data analysis.
