Labtechnician with interest in screen printing and printed electronics

We are seeking a laboratory assistant for a trial/interim employment that can lead to a permanent position in Norrköping.

We are looking for a driven and ambitious laboratory assistant with a burning interest in science and technology, particularly in printing technology, screen printing, and printed electronics, to help us with our research and development projects. As a laboratory assistant, you will be an important part of our dynamic team and work in our modern research facility, Printed Electronics Arena in Norrköping. Your main tasks will include screen printing on various materials and substrates, preparation of test materials, and performance of various analyses. You will also assist researchers with laboratory work and experiments, document and report experiment results and processes, and handle various laboratory administration tasks such as chemical inventory, ordering, and recycling.

You will also be responsible for maintaining and calibrating laboratory equipment to ensure its correct functioning. One of your most important tasks will be to contribute to a safe working environment in the laboratory by following safety regulations and identifying and reporting potential risks or hazardous situations. We are looking for someone with relevant education in natural sciences, technology, or a similar field, and experience in screen printing and laboratory work is an advantage. You should have good knowledge of laboratory equipment and analytical instruments, as well as the ability to carefully follow instructions and document results in a clear and concise manner.

We are looking for someone who is curious and can work in a well-functioning team, as well as be independent after training. You should be initiative-taking and have an interest in sustainable technology solutions. It is a merit but not a requirement if you already have experience in printing technology and laboratory work. Regardless, the will to learn and develop in printing technology, screen printing, and laboratory work is a must so you become familiar with printing technology after training. You need to have good communication skills in speech and writing as it is important to document processes and experiment results in a clear and concise manner. You should have a university degree in chemistry, materials science, or a similar field, or equivalent experience in laboratory work and technology. You should also be able to work practically in the laboratory and work unimpeded with standard computer programs such as Excel, Word.
