Job Description

We are seeking a Silviculture Expert to join our faculty in the Department of Forest Ecology and Management. The successful candidate will contribute to the strategic development of our department, faculty, and SLU as a whole.

  • Develop and lead an internationally recognized research environment focused on silvicultural systems.
  • Conduct basic and applied research in silviculture, with a special emphasis on northern Sweden.
  • Utilize and develop our long-term silvicultural field trials, prioritizing northern Sweden.
  • Publish scientific articles in international peer-reviewed journals.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be considered for this position, applicants must:

  • Hold a doctoral degree relevant to the subject area.
  • Demonstrate scientific expertise within silviculture.
  • Exhibit pedagogical skills and leadership abilities.
  • Have excellent knowledge of English.
