About the Finance Business Partnering team

The Finance Business Partner function serves as a vital link between the Finance team and the rest of the organization. Its primary objective is to support various departments in their operations, resource allocation, and financial management by providing ongoing visibility into their financial performance, identifying risks and opportunities, sizing potential investments, and driving functional inputs into organizational activities such as budgeting and forecasting.

About the role

As a Financial Operations Specialist, you will play a critical role in driving financial and strategic decision-making within the organization. You will act as a trusted financial advisor to the wider org and leadership, providing valuable insights and recommendations on performance, opportunities, and key initiatives to optimize business outcomes.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop a deep understanding of the business unit's operations, challenges, and opportunities.
  2. Partner with business leaders to develop annual budgets, forecasts, and long-range plans, and provide financial analysis and reporting to track performance against budget and forecast, identify trends, and provide actionable insights.
  3. Challenge and support business decisions through robust financial modeling and analysis, including ROI analysis, cost-benefit analysis, scenario planning, ad hoc analyses, and supporting the development of business cases for new investments and initiatives.
  4. Identify and drive cost optimization and growth initiatives within the business unit and proactively identify and communicate potential risks and opportunities to business leaders.
  5. Collaborate with other finance functions (e.g., accounting, FP&A) to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance.
  6. Continuously improve financial processes and tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  7. Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across the organization.

You will be successful in this role if:

  • You have 5-7 years of experience in a highly analytical role (ideally in Finance) with at least 1-2 years in a business partnering role.
  • You possess a strong understanding of financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
  • You excel in analyzing complex data and translating it into actionable insights.
  • You have exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to effectively communicate, influence, and build strong relationships across all levels of the organization.
  • You have a strong business acumen and understand key business drivers with robust analytical skills.
  • You thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • You are proactive, results-oriented, and have a strong sense of ownership and work ethic.
