Job Responsibilities:
This Purchasing Manager position involves developing and leading the implementation of purchasing strategies for Packaging Materials & Energy in Germany and Sweden. Key responsibilities include conducting market research, analyzing spend data, implementing sourcing strategies, evaluating suppliers, negotiating contracts, and managing budgets. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and the capacity to build trust-based relationships with stakeholders. A minimum of two years of experience in purchasing or related fields is required, along with a degree in a relevant field.

Key Qualifications:
The successful candidate will have a degree in Engineering, Economics, or a related field, with fluency in English as a minimum requirement. German/Swedish language skills are highly valued. A proven track record of working in purchasing or related roles, preferably in the packaging industry, is essential. Strong analytical skills, coupled with excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, will enable the candidate to succeed in building strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including senior leadership, operations teams, and external partners such as suppliers and distributors. A bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Supply Chain Management may also be beneficial. Additionally, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, is expected. Familiarity with industry-specific software, such as enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, would be advantageous. As a committed professional, the individual should demonstrate a willingness to learn and adapt to changing market conditions and business needs. Travel requirements may involve visiting production sites, meeting with suppliers, and attending industry events, thus a valid passport and openness to international travel are essential.
