Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Financial Operations Controller to join our team in Vasteras, Sweden.

As a financial operations controller, you will be responsible for providing financial guidance and support to project managers and core teams. You will work closely with stakeholders to ensure that financial information is accurate and up-to-date, and that project reporting is in line with accounting rules.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  1. Financial Analysis and Reporting: Conduct thorough financial analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and risks associated with projects, and provide regular financial reports to stakeholders.
  2. Project Cost Control: Oversee project cost control, analyze variances, and recommend possible courses of action to remedy.
  3. Financial Planning and Budgeting: Develop and manage project budgets and forecasts, ensuring that they accurately reflect the current status of the project.
  4. Financial Integrity: Verify that project calculations reflect the current status of the project and lead the re-assessment of project cost assumptions.

You will also have the opportunity to contribute to risk and opportunity management by challenging project inputs and recommending possible courses of action to mitigate risk or achieve opportunities.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field. You should have experience or understanding of project management and financial control in a complex, project-driven environment.

You will also need to have strong analytical skills, excellent communication skills, and the ability to convey financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
