Job Description

We are seeking an experienced professional to lead our customs classification efforts in IKEA Supply Services Sweden AB. The successful candidate will be responsible for securing accurate customs tariff codes for the entire IKEA range, including home furnishings and food products.

The role involves close collaboration with key stakeholders to ensure proper classification of IKEA products. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of global trade compliance regulations, including export controls, sanctions, and customs regulations.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of customs classification specialists to achieve high accuracy in customs tariff code assignments.
  • Work closely with key stakeholders to ensure accurate tariff assignments based on product specifications.
  • Establish a framework for managing country-specific variations in customs product classification.
  • Develop and manage a classification framework that considers trade remedies, free trade agreements, and government agency provisions.
  • Provide guidance on Binding Ruling processes and support internal audits.
  • Maintain metrics and reporting mechanisms to measure classification program effectiveness.
  • Serve as the primary advisor to leadership on global classification matters.
