Postdoctoral Researcher in Computational Sustainable Design

We are seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher to join our team in Computational Sustainable Design. As a postdoctoral researcher, you will have the opportunity to take responsibility for managing projects independently and realizing your research ideas. You will work closely with a group of highly motivated PhD students and senior researchers who are passionate about digital methods and tools for sustainable design.
About the Division and the Department
Computational Sustainable Design is part of the Sustainable Building Research Group within the Division of Building Technology. Our research focuses on combining sustainability assessment with computational design and decision-making processes. We work on circularity, LCA, and building performance assessment, as well as social aspects on a neighborhood level. Our team uses generative design, BIM, GIS, and machine-learning approaches to develop innovative solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct independent research projects and publish high-quality research papers.
- Guide PhD students in conducting and publishing their research.
- Demonstrate excellent communication and supervision skills.
- Lead the development of digital tools and support in writing research applications.
Qualifications
You should have a doctoral degree in engineering, architecture, computer science, or a related field, awarded no more than three years prior to the application deadline. You should have advanced programming skills, experience with common architectural tools, and the ability to handle large datasets. A track record of high-quality publications and supervising Bachelor or Master students is also required.
