Postdoctoral Researcher in Experimental High-Energy Astrophysics

We are seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher to join our team at the KTH Royal Institute of Technology. The successful candidate will be part of our astroparticle physics group, which has a strong focus on experimental high-energy astrophysics.
About the PositionThe postdoctoral researcher will work on the analysis and interpretation of data from the XL-Calibur mission, a balloon-borne polarimeter that has observed the Crab pulsar and black-hole binary Cyg X-1. The researcher will also be involved in preparations for a future balloon flight and studies for possible future balloon and satellite missions.
Responsibilities- Conduct research in experimental high-energy astrophysics, with a focus on X-ray polarimetry
- Analyze and interpret data from the XL-Calibur mission
- Participate in preparations for a future balloon flight
- Contribute to studies for possible future balloon and satellite missions
To be eligible for this position, you should have a doctoral degree in a relevant field, such as astrophysics or particle physics. You should also have excellent research expertise in experimental high-energy astrophysics and a strong command of written and spoken English.
