About the Role

We are seeking an accomplished Principal Scientist to join our Assay Development team. As a key member, you will oversee the design, planning, and execution of experiments to develop and optimize novel assays, focusing on antibody-based and high-throughput approaches.

This role demands a self-motivated individual who excels in a dynamic, fast-paced environment where we consistently push the boundaries of what's possible in modern biotechnology. You will work closely with stakeholders across the organization to ensure successful project outcomes and align assay development goals with broader company objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, plan, and execute experiments to develop and optimize novel assays, focusing on antibody-based and high-throughput approaches.
  • Manage end-to-end molecular biology projects, including ideation, wet lab execution, data analysis, and scaling processes for product development.
  • Ensure seamless integration of assay development goals into broader company objectives.
  • Introduce and refine innovative methodologies, such as advanced immunoassay formats, NGS, and other emerging techniques in assay development.
  • Solve complex scientific and technical challenges by applying creative, first-principles thinking. Develop robust solutions to improve assay performance and scalability.
  • Stay at the forefront of research trends, ensuring that all work adheres to high scientific standards and industry best practices.
Requirements
  • Prior experience in antibody-based proteomics, with a deep understanding of assay development.
  • Hands-on expertise in developing and optimizing antibody-based products, with additional experience in PCR/qPCR being a strong advantage.
  • Familiarity with high-throughput assay development, such as novel immunoassay formats, next-generation sequencing (NGS), or display technologies, is highly desirable.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively when troubleshooting.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively and collaborate seamlessly with both technical and scientific teams.
  • Demonstrated capacity to own projects and deliver results in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment.

Hiring Process
