Join us as an HVDC Valve Design and Engineering Specialist at Hitachi Energy In this critical role, you will lead the design and development of HVDC valve systems, ensuring their reliability, efficiency, and compliance with industry standards. As a key member of our team, you will work collaboratively with engineers, technicians, and stakeholders to address complex design challenges and optimize project outcomes. Your contributions will directly impact the success of our HVDC projects, enabling the widespread adoption of renewable energy sources and minimizing environmental footprint.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement innovative HVDC valve designs, leveraging advanced software tools and techniques.
  2. Liaise with cross-functional teams to coordinate project activities, ensuring timely completion and quality standards.
  3. Create detailed documentation, including production and installation drawings, to facilitate smooth project execution.
  4. Validate designs against customer specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
  5. Establish effective relationships with customers, suppliers, and stakeholders to deliver exceptional results and foster long-term partnerships.
  6. Lead risk assessments and implement mitigating measures to guarantee safety and quality standards.
  7. Promote a culture of innovation and knowledge sharing within the team.

Your Background:

  1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  2. Substantial experience in 3D modeling and 2D drawing/layout creation, preferably in NX/Teamcenter.
  3. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
  4. Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with proficiency in English required.
  5. Knowledge of Swedish is an asset, while experience with high voltage products is highly desirable.
