About the Role

We are seeking an experienced EHS Engineer to join our team at Stoneridge in Örebro. As an EHS Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health, safety, and environmental well-being of our employees, customers, and the community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective EHS management systems and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify and mitigate potential hazards and risks.
  • Collaborate with operations, quality, and production teams to develop and implement EHS training programs and ensure employee understanding and adherence to EHS policies and procedures.
  • Investigate and report on incidents, near misses, and accidents to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with regulatory agencies and stakeholders to ensure compliance with EHS regulations and industry standards.
  • Lead the development and implementation of EHS initiatives and projects to improve the company's EHS performance and reduce risks.
Requirements
  • University degree in engineering, environmental science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in EHS roles, preferably in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Swedish Work Environmental regulations and experience with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with employees at all levels.
  • Business travel is required, mainly within Sweden.
