Job Title: Material Planner

Job Summary:

Alstom Sverige is seeking a skilled Material Planner to join our Supply Chain organization in Göteborg Slottsskogen. As a Material Planner, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our supply chain, working closely with various functions on site.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and manage inventory levels, including procurement and storage of spare parts and materials.
• Optimize material flows and internal/external processes in collaboration with other functions.
• Create and expedite purchase orders in SAP, ensuring timely deliveries.
• Monitor supplier performance against Quality, Cost, Delivery (QCD) standards and identify potential delivery issues.
• Drive process improvements and implement changes to enhance efficiency and quality.
• Actively participate in resolving material shortages and implement corrective actions.
• Continuously improve and develop skills and knowledge.
• Update supplier data in SAP and negotiate contracts with suppliers.

Requirements:

• Education/Experience or a strong passion for procurement/logistics or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of laws and regulations related to procurement.
• Language: Fluent Swedish, English, spoken and written.
• Familiarity with procurement and procurement processes.
• IT skills and knowledge of Office package, especially Excel & Word.
• Experience working with ERP systems (SAP, meritorious).
