Job DescriptionWe are seeking a highly skilled 3D Animator to join our Marketing team. As a 3D Animator, you will be responsible for conceptualizing and creating story-driven animated videos and content that drive new users into our game. You will work closely with our video artists, marketing creatives, and game teams to develop engaging and effective content.
Key Responsibilities- Develop full creation process from concept through to layout, animation, lighting, and rendering as well as editing
- Ensure content fits specs and best practices for a variety of platforms
- Use our extensive library of game assets and animations to build compelling video ads for user acquisition
- Work primarily with existing animations in the game, combining with your own animations to create stories and content
- Collaborate with game development teams (tech animation, tools, narrative) to ensure pipeline of marketing content fits with planned game releases
- Deep understanding of animation fundamentals with an ability to adapt to different art styles
- Experience of animating both human and animal creatures and characters - horses is a big plus
- Strong observational skills coupled with a strong understanding of weight distribution and pacing/timing
- Significant experience in production of key-framed character animation for both humans and creatures
- Ability to handle full creation process from concept through to layout, animation, lighting, and rendering as well as editing
- Accomplished knowledge of current animation techniques and 3rd party animation software (Maya, most importantly, but other packages like Animbot are useful to know)
- Knowledge in Premier, After Effects, Photoshop, and Illustrator
- Open to sharing knowledge and supporting your co-workers to develop their skills in the craft
- Good communication skills and experience working in a team environment
- An interest for pushing animation in video-games to new levels of quality
