About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Operations Manager to join our team at ABB Schweiz AG. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for the local management of all project execution activities in the area of responsibility.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Project Execution and Management: Ensure that operations are executed in accordance with company procedures, contract specifications, quality standards, Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) requirements, financial targets, and schedule commitments.
  2. Team Development and Process Improvement: Coordinate and oversee team development and standardized process development to continually improve the effectiveness of Project Execution teams.
  3. Portfolio Management: Ensure that the portfolio of projects is managed consistently based on best practices and ABB policies, controls, and SOX requirements.
  4. Resource Management: Ensure that the area of responsibility is structured to fit the business model, sufficiently staffed with skilled resources, and directed appropriately.
  5. Leadership and Coaching: Guide, motivate, and develop direct and indirect reports. Lead and coach the Project Execution teams to achieve defined business objectives.
  6. Financial Management: Drive efficiency and effectiveness and improve cash flow, revenue, and profitability.
  7. Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure that ABB policies are consistently followed and that the area of responsibility is structured to mitigate risks.
  8. Collaboration and Communication: Build and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Experience: At least 5 years of experience in export of technical systems and projects working as project manager, senior project manager, or as a PMO manager or equivalent.
  • Education: A degree in the field of engineering, preferably in electrical/automation, or other equivalent certification.
  • Skills: Strong and demonstrated understanding of project portfolio financials and demonstrated experience working with enterprise resource planning and standard operating procedures.
  • Language: Speak and write fluently in both Swedish and English.
