As a Technical Innovation Lead, you will play a key role in leading process and equipment improvement and development activities. You will be part of a dynamic engineering team that supports operations with short and long-term technical solutions for components, products, and processes.

We are undergoing a significant transformation at our Uppsala site, replacing existing technology with new and innovative machinery. This presents an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to join our journey and contribute to shaping the future of manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead technical and process improvement projects, including root cause problem-solving and analysis of existing processes to secure quality, delivery, and cost targets.
  • Develop and optimize new and existing manufacturing processes using lean and process excellence tools.
  • Design and execute test plans and process validation activities.
  • You may be assigned project leadership responsibilities on a portion of a larger project or a small to medium-sized project, including planning, scheduling, cost control, and project budget management.
  • You will interact frequently with other functions within the organization both locally and globally.
  • You will manage external contractors and vendors.
  • You will be responsible for lifecycle management of direct device component specifications.

Qualifications

We are looking for candidates with a strong background in material science, process engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing and/or industrial engineering role within a regulated industry, preferably within the medical device or pharmaceutical sector.
  • Excellent analytical capabilities, with a drive to challenge the status quo, eager to learn, and robust in following objectives.
  • Experience performing data analysis, creating technical documentation, and presenting results.
  • Experience performing investigations and root cause failure analysis and implementing corrective and preventive actions.
  • Strong communication skills at different levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrates a desire to continually learn, grow, excel, and develop new ideas.
  • High level of self-motivation and the ability to take the initiative.
