Quantitative Developer

We are seeking a talented and passionate Junior Quantitative Developer to join our Forecasting Team at Spotify. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supporting the development and direction of our in-house user and content forecasting system, using large-scale data from across the organization to deliver accurate impact estimates on a global scale for senior business partners.
Key Responsibilities:- Actively support and enhance the backend of our forecasting system, collaborating closely with data scientists and engineers on a quantitatively complex codebase to enhance system architecture and performance, as well as to integrate new features.
- Support the development of a comprehensive web portal that facilitates access to our forecasting tools, ensuring our internal teams can make data-driven decisions with ease. Additionally, you will manage our cloud-based compute resources, focusing on performance and scalability to efficiently leverage cloud technologies for optimal data processing capabilities.
- Strong proficiency in Python is essential. Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) is highly desirable, as it is our primary cloud service provider. Additionally, prior experience with SQL is advantageous.
- Strong quantitative skills and familiarity with statistical concepts and numerical analysis are crucial due to the complexity of our systems.
- At least 2+ years of experience working with Python on a daily basis.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative spirit, coupled with a passion for innovative problem-solving and a drive to think outside the box in a team-driven environment.
