Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced researcher to join our team as a Postdoctoral Researcher in Translational Breast Cancer Research.

The successful candidate will work on identifying and validating immunotherapy biomarkers and exploring novel therapeutic targets in breast cancer.

This is an excellent opportunity for a postdoctoral researcher to gain expertise in flow cytometry, in vitro assays, and working with mouse models in the context of translational research.

The ideal candidate should have a strong background in immunology and cancer research, with experience in data analysis and excellent communication skills.

About the Position

The selected candidate will be part of a multidisciplinary team of translational scientists, physicians, statisticians, basic researchers, and computational scientists working towards advancing breast cancer research.

The candidate will be supervised by Dr. Ioannis Zerdes and will be part of the translational breast cancer group led by Professor Theodoros Foukakis.

The main tasks will include performing flow cytometry, in vitro assays, PBMC isolation, organoids, and working with mouse models to explore the immunological aspects of breast cancer.

The research group is located at Bioclinicum in Solna, within the Department of Oncology-Pathology at Karolinska Institute.

Requirements
  • A PhD in medicine, immunology, biotechnology, or a related field.
  • Experience in flow cytometry, in vitro assays, and working with mouse models.
  • Previous experience in translational research, particularly in immunology and cancer.
  • Data analysis skills (optional but advantageous).
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with fluency in English (both oral and written).
