Position Overview

We are excited to announce an opportunity for an Electrical Commissioning Engineer to join our growing team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee commissioning tasks for all electrical vendors.
  • Ensure adherence to the defined work scope.
  • Monitor the delivery of project scope and communicate deadlines and commissioning programme milestones.
  • Supervise and report on the progress of the commissioning programme and deadlines.
  • Attend and oversee Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs) and Field Witness Tests (FWTs) for electrical vendors.
  • Possess experience with UPS systems, switchgear, generators, medium voltage (MV), and building management systems (BMS) controls.
  • Organize and participate in daily and weekly commissioning meetings with internal teams and vendors.
  • Prepare and update weekly progress reports for commissioning vendors for submission to management.
  • Coordinate with the Project Quality Assurance/Quality Control department to achieve shared objectives.
  • Collaborate with the Project Approval department to ensure alignment on goals.
  • Track and secure approvals for relevant project electrical commissioning documents, including test scripts and compliance statements.
  • Witness all vendor commissioning activities in accordance with approved project documentation.
  • Ensure receipt, review, and compliance of project commissioning documentation to achieve necessary sign-offs.
  • Conduct the commissioning tagging process and procedures.
  • Manage all daily on-site commissioning operations.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Possess relevant certifications in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or an electrical trade with appropriate training and experience (e.g., NVQ).
  • Have a minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role within a construction environment, preferably with exposure to commercial, industrial, pharmaceutical, or data centre projects.
  • Demonstrate experience working with low voltage (LV), medium voltage (MV), or high voltage (HV) systems, with a focus on commissioning.
  • Have at least 3 years of experience in electrical testing and verification.
  • Possess a solid understanding of construction processes and safety protocols.
  • Exhibit strong analytical problem-solving skills and decisive action.
  • Be process-oriented with a focus on Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) and Quality Work Management Systems.
