EU and UN Regulatory Compliance Specialist
Volvo Group is seeking an experienced regulation specialist to join our team. As an EU and UN Regulatory Compliance Specialist, you'll play a critical role in shaping the future of sustainable transport and infrastructure solutions.
We're looking for someone who can influence and monitor regulation development around the 'weights and dimensions directive' in the EU, support the update of dangerous goods requirements, and engage in vehicle safety regulations evolutions.
Your key responsibilities will include working with regulatory agencies in the EU (mainly EU Commission) or in the UN (WP29 and subgroups) to shape regulation development in this area. This includes leading internal activities to prepare and anchor our lobbying strategies, acting as a Volvo representative on Manufacturers Associations, and working with competitors to build consensus positions.
This role requires strong communication skills, analytical abilities, and negotiation experience. The successful candidate will have a Master of Science or Bachelor of Science in Engineering, experience with Vehicle Transport business, knowledge about the Weight & Dimensions Directive in the EU, and knowledge about Vehicle Regulations around safety and transport of dangerous goods.
