Role Summary

AB Volvo seeks a highly skilled Certification, Regulations & Standards Engineer - Electromobility Systems to join our team.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering, mechatronics, or a related field, combined with experience in regulations and standards analysis within the automotive industry.

Responsibilities include:

  • Monitoring and analyzing regulations and standards related to electric propulsion systems.
  • Communicating with stakeholders across the organization to ensure effective compliance.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate risks associated with non-compliance.
  • Providing guidance on strategic and technical issues pertinent to their area of expertise.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor or Master's Degree in Electrical, Mechatronics, or equivalent with a combination of master's in Business Analytics or relevant regulatory areas.
  • Minimum five years of experience in regulations and standards analysis within the automotive industry.
  • Minimum two years of experience in EU legislations and standards applicable for Electric propulsion systems.
  • Knowledge of vehicle development process and Electric propulsion systems design.
  • Experience in type approval certification and compliance for components/systems/vehicles is an advantage.

Desirable Skills:

  • Working with ISO/IEC/SAE standards working groups.
  • Global regulations for automotives.
  • Commercial vehicles industry.
