NKT is seeking a forward-thinking individual to join our dynamic R&D team as a Senior Multidisciplinary Experimentalist.

As a key member of our Technology Consulting department, you will have the opportunity to work alongside experts in cutting-edge laboratories, shaping the future of our industry.

• Develop and lead technical projects, providing essential expertise.
• Understand customer needs and implement initiatives to improve operations.
• Define and improve measurement methods and predict electromagnetic phenomena.
• Design and build electrical test circuits and perform experiments.
• Contribute to the development of new monitoring solutions for quality control.
• Communicate technical results effectively to stakeholders.

• Model and simulate electrical field distribution, thermodynamic phenomena in materials.
• Design and build robust measurement systems to better understand material behavior in HV electrical systems.
• Troubleshoot and investigate electrical break-downs, analyze results, and suggest potential improvements.
• Increase comprehension of electrical phenomena in insulation systems, both theoretically and experimentally.
• Provide consulting services to internal and external customers on technical challenges within your area of expertise.
• Contribute significantly to effective project results in technology and product development by identifying, proposing, and implementing innovative solutions.
• Identify and mitigate risks in R&D projects as well as in consulting projects.
• Build a global network of technical partners and business units.
• Coch and mentor TC team about your expertise areas.

• A Master of Science or PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, High Voltage Engineering, or related fields.
• 3+ years of experience in R&D or similar roles.
• Proficient background in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Material Science, and High-Voltage Technology.
• Effective communicator with the ability to create value for the business and customers.
• Proficiency in relevant simulation tools such as COMSOL Multiphysics, MATLAB, LabVIEW, PSpice, etc.
• Familiarity with multiple electrical insulation characterizations is advantageous.
• Fluent in English, with basic Swedish speaking knowledge is advantageous.
