About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Cloud Architect to join our technology team at Infor Inc. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and developing cloud-based systems, kubernetes, and large-scale microservice deployments using Java.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Design and Development: Design, develop, and test cloud-based systems, kubernetes, and large-scale microservice deployments using Java.
  2. Code Quality and Standards: Apply best practices and standards to ensure high-quality, scalable, and reliable software solutions.
  3. Collaboration and Technical Guidance: Collaborate with engineers, architects, product owners, and stakeholders to understand requirements and provide technical guidance and feedback.
  4. Research and Evaluation: Research and evaluate new technologies and tools to improve the platform and solve technical challenges.
  5. Mentorship and Knowledge Sharing: Mentor and coach junior engineers and share knowledge and expertise.
Requirements
  1. Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  2. Professional Experience: At least 8 years of professional software engineering experience, with at least 4 years in cloud-based systems, kubernetes, and large-scale microservice deployments using Java.
  3. Cloud Computing Knowledge: Strong knowledge of cloud computing concepts, architectures, and services, such as AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.
  4. Kubernetes and Containerization: Strong knowledge of kubernetes and containerization technologies, such as Docker, Helm, Istio, etc.
  5. Microservice Design: Strong knowledge of microservice design patterns, principles, and best practices, such as REST, gRPC, API gateway, service discovery, circuit breaker, etc.
  6. Java and Related Frameworks: Strong knowledge of Java and related frameworks and tools, such as Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Maven, Gradle, etc.
  7. Software Engineering Practices: Proficient in software engineering practices, such as agile methodology, code review, testing, debugging, documentation, etc.
  8. Communication and Collaboration: Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
