About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Lawyer to join our team in providing commercial legal services in a technology-enabled, data-driven corporate legal department.

The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and analyzing legal issues, drafting and negotiating documents, presenting commercially viable recommendations, and assuring legal compliance.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Negotiating and drafting clauses & agreements relating to data processing, data protection and cybersecurity.
  • Reviewing, drafting, and negotiating a wide range of European customer-facing and partner agreements.
  • Providing strategic legal advice to business leaders and partnering with multiple stakeholders to drive strategy and growth.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of customer service, excellent technical legal knowledge in contract and commercial law, particularly with SaaS products and solutions.

About You

We are looking for an experienced lawyer with 3-5 years post qualification experience in private practice and/or as in-house legal counsel advising on customers rather than procurement.

Key qualifications include:

  • Authorised to practise law in Sweden.
  • Excellent written/verbal English language communication skills.
  • Experience and knowledge of German and/or Spanish and/or French and other European jurisdiction software contracting with the ability to negotiate contracts in any/some of these languages.
Candidates Requirements

We require candidates with exceptional negotiation and drafting skills, able to think strategically and creatively, to identify and resolve legal issues.

In addition, we seek candidates with:

  • Excellent technical legal knowledge in contract and commercial law, particularly with SaaS products and solutions.
  • Knowledge of GDPR, data transfers and data sharing; knowledge of US privacy laws would also be an advantage.
