We are seeking a highly motivated research scientist to join our team at the School of Medical Science.

The successful candidate will be involved in planning, conducting and analysing results of two nutritional intervention studies and one ex vivo study (faecal fermentation). Key responsibilities include recruitment of hyperuricaemic and healthy study participants, planning and conducting screening and follow-up study visits, handling the collection of biological samples, being involved in the laboratory analyses of the biological samples, statistical analyses and publication of the results.

The appointment as a research scientist is intended to enable persons who have recently been awarded their doctoral degree to consolidate and develop primarily their research skills. The position also involves writing ethical applications and supervising students involved in the project.
